Their application security testing solutions help their customers secure code that they write and the code in their software supply chain.We are looking for a creative and technical Solutions Engineer that can help customers improve in how they deal with software and demonstrate the business value that their software solutions can provide in delivering those improvements.Location: Western USA. California, Oregon or Washington state.Responsibilities:As a solutions engineer, you play an integral role in the sales process. You help uncover gaps in the prospect's software development lifecycle processes through your knowledge of DevSecOps and Software Supply Chain Security best practices. You help the prospect understand the cost that these gaps have on software development timelines and efficiencies and you help them understand how our clients solutions protect everyone - everywhere there's code.Your role is one of trusted advisor, you have a history of working with software development teams and can guide the prospect with best practices and suggestions on how to improve their process and workflows. You have an especially strong affinity for developer workflows.You can put yourself in the mind of the prospect and understand what challenges they may be facing and how to resolve those challenges. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, as are the capability to hold presentations virtually or in person.The key responsibility of this role are:

  • Understand and be able to present our clients solutions to a technical audience
  • Participate as a key player in the pre-sales process
    • Help uncover customer needs from a technical perspective
    • Present our clients solution to the prospect
    • Provide technical support during the pre-sales process
    • Be an advocate for the prospect internally and provide input to roadmap and future plans
    • Support the marketing team in demand creation programs where needed
    • Participate as a thought leader in the software supply chain security fieldRequirements
      • At least 5 years of solution engineering experience and the ability to connect with technical savvy customers.
      • A bachelor or master's degree in software, computer or electrical engineering, or significant experience in the field
      • Understanding of the software development process, ideally with some embedded experience
      • Understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD platforms and enabling technologies
      • Understanding of the cyber security field
      • Strong communication skills (email, phone, video conferencing and in-person)
      • Ability to drive internal resources (marketing, sales, engineering, support, product management) to build an engagement plan per customer
      • Ability to travel
